DVD ISO Autoplay

I've downloaded the demo for (4.1.3) and have been unable to get ISO files to play automatically.

I link the file to the movie, (type App: DiskImageMounter) and when I click the play button in full screen mode, it mounts the ISO (I can see the video_ts folder) if at this point I manually run the apple DVD application, it works fine, but it does not want to do this automatically.

(I also tryed the beta link that was posted in another post, and that didn't help, I think the link was old enought that the beta is now the 'released version' )

If I extract the ISO, and point the file link to the TS folder, the autoplay works as expected, I just dont want to extract the files ...

I tested it out and realized the extension has to be lowercase (.iso), I will fix that for the next version. In the meantime make sure your extension is lowercase and then try it out (the image can't be mounted when you click the link, as DVDpedia looks for a currently mounting drive to open the VIDEO_TS).

If it still fails please send me two of your DVDs as a dcard so that I can take a look at the link. To create a dcard drag a DVD from the table view to the desktop, you can then attach those files to an email.

The worked! Thanks for the hint, I would have never thought to change the case to lower case.

One issue I see is that you cant watch a movie twice unless you quit out and unmount the volume, I'll play around with the AppleScript to see if I can get it to unmount all currently mounted ISO files when launching a new one, or unmount the current ISO when focus is returned to DVDpedia from VLC or the Apple DVD Player.app (I also think I may be able to get Remote Buddy to launch a scipt on command-Q to kill off mounted volumes as well.

Do you know of a quick/dirty way of doing this, you never know when the wife might want to watch a movie twice in a row (or between reboots)

You shouldn't have to and you won't in the next version, that is our bug. We also take responsibility for not being able to launch an ISO twice without un-mounting, it's something our program should be able to do. Because there is no link between the ISO and the mounted image there is no way of knowing what would have mounted. Looking for a solution I have discovered I can get a enough information about mounted volumes from "hdiutil" to link a mounted volume to its corresponding image. So with the next version I will also fix the issue with already mounted ISO files not playing. We wouldn't want your wife to think badly of our program because it's not working like it should.

Thanks! I've found that the WAF (Wife acceptance factor) is absolutely critical in the HTPC arena! I'll await the next version before buying the new hardware
