DVDpedia Amazon UK search not working after latest update

DVDpedia Amazon UK search not working after latest update

I've just installed the latest update to DVDpedia (not sure of the build number, it popped up for me today) and now Amazon UK search won't yield any result, neither by ASIN number nor by title. I was in the middle of adding several titles to my collection when I was prompted to update, and it was working just fine before that, I had successfully added a couple of references from Amazon UK by ASIN number search.

You are correct. Only Amazon US is now working across the search Plug-ins.

The reason for this could be that Amazon has again tightened up their AWS T's & C's again. 🤬

This was explained by Conor a couple of years ago:
Part of the reason why the Amazon settings are hidden in a debug menu under "Amazon Test" is that their terms don't allow for use on apps that share information with a mobile app such as Pocketpedia. Also it's supposed to be used by a single individual for the purpose or promoting the Amazon products. Of course all these changes to their terms they have been doing over the last couple of years and was not the case when we started out years ago.
What this means is that Conor has to have an AWS account for each Amazon country search site and be an activate seller or buyer on that site. Not very practical.

So until Conor figures out away around this, it looks like Amazon US is the only Amazon search site. ☹️
